Galaxy S(i9000 version) is said to get it this month, but as for the vibrant idk because see even when it gets released TMO would have to see if it is how they wanted it and everything to make sure we dont get something we shouldnt and if it is compatible with their phone and network.

T mobile will be last..just like with most things.  Right, wrong or whatever.  It is what it is.  I just upgraded to the vibrant from the my touch because off the lack of upgrade, even though they claimed"no phone left behind...lol. That phone is never even going to get 2.1.  Im thrilled with the vibrant and the 2.1 its running.  Nevertheless, eager to see 2.2

Cool, and the GPS fix for the Vibrant seems to fix some of the issues with the phone.

My GPS is still not working right! I am already counting down the days till I can upgrade from the vibrant. I cant send video and everyone else on every other network can , my GPS is messed up and I have already had to replace it once and I have had it for a month  and a half due to freezing issues. Not a happy customer at all. Anyone know why I cant send video..T-Mobile told me it was because there net work was not big enough and can only send 1g at a time .

My Samsung Vibrant just got an update.  However, it did not get Android 2.2 -- it now shows that it is "2.1, update 1".  I wonder if this is a bad sign for getting to Froyo.

The update that t mobile just released fixes the gps issue, adds a task manager,  adds a new icon for hd video camera - basically the same vid camera but now has its own icon now and marve a couple other small tweaks.  I believe, or hope we are still up to get the froyo update soon.

Does Samsung consider the GPS problem fixed if you have JI6?  My GPS sorta worked before the update, and after the update I don't see much difference.  It might be a little faster to lock onto a signal in certain situations, but it's not reliable.  I'm running GPS test now, and I don't see much to be happy about.

Also does JI6 fix the samsung lag problem?  I see no difference in that.  I got so fed up with the bugs on this phone that I installed the One Click Lag Fix this weekend.  And, I see a difference now, finally.  To bad I'll have to redo it when/if Froyo comes out.

WTF was samsung thinking implementing their own filesystem format!?  It's not like any competitor, even if it did work, would look at their file system format and think "Damn if we only had that file system format!"  Just pick EXT3 or EXT4 and call it done.  Zero development, testing, and potential production bugs.  Why expose yourself to that risk for zero reward?  Stupid Stupid Stupid!

Well, I've got JI6 update, I've tried this fix (http://www.intomobile.com/2010/07/21/t-mobile-samsung-vibrant-galaxy-s-gps-issues-fix-tutorial/), my GPS can see the satellites (I've just tried now and there were 11 visible), but it doesn't lock on any! Any help?

Thanks,
Glauco

If you don't want to wait there are some nice Froyo ROMS out for the Vibrant now.
