Dear all,

Firstly, I have to say that i am very impressed with this device and even if my issues cannot be resolved, i remain very happy overall.

The first difficulty is that Kies refuses to allow me to transfer FLAC files to the device stating that 'This file format cannot be transfered'.  I wonder if anyone knows how to fix this problem.

Second, I cannot connect to Kies using Bluetooth - it searches for ages and i eventually give up.  The phone says that it is paired but not connected regardless of what i do.

The voice dialler doesn't seem to work although telling it to open applications IS sucessful  approximately 90% of the time.  Ask it to 'dial fred bloggs' or 'call 87655' though and it comes up with bizarre options totally different to request that i had made.  Voice search is extremely good though and my colleagues and i had hours of fun yesterday playing with it.

Finally, i wonder whether and when BBC iplayer and slingplayer mobile will become available on the i9000.

Any help on any of these issues will be much appreciated.

Kind regards.

 Smile

use mass storage to transfer FLAC, it will take the file name as song title and folder name as album title.

bluetooth works for me, never tried it on kies

Awesome! Thanks for this post! It was exactly what I was looking for.

Quick question, though: Is there anyway to make sure the artist name doesn't come up as <unknown>? I'm a little particular about that, I guess.

download the app 'extended media scanner'. should work for some files, didn't work for all my files. try use mp3tag to tag the flac files first
