Hello Folks,
 New to the forum and the volume of users is encouraging. Hope this reaches someone with the ability to help.

Issue:

1st batch Sammy Vibrant, worked great since day one. Only mod has been the Kies Froyo via Tmobiles website.

  One day, my Vibrant developed some weird usb port issue. I plug the phone to charge & sometimes the charge icon may show up- sometimes it will not. I unplug the device, and the charge icon will remain on screen. It has even notified of reaching full charge- when totally unplugged.

As I try to back up my media to the pc via usb cable, the computer says the usb device has malfunctioned & to "replace the device". Under no circumstance will the Vibrant communicate with the computer. With any computer, as I've tried several.

90% of the time, I power down the Vibrant & it immediately boots itself back up. Rarely will it just power down & acknowledge it's being charged and display the green battery charging icon.

Functionally, it works great. I have no call, display or use issues. I'm just totally unable to transfer files via usb- which also makes it unable to update.

Certainly appreciate any feedback or any direction from somebody(s) with any knowledge or previous experience with such an issue.
