The screen blinks out after I push the side button to enter my security code. I have to push the house button sometimes to get it to go back to the security entry page. It didnt happen until I change it from the default locking to my personal code. Thanks...
When your phone is in lock mode it is designed to turn the screen off when the power button is pushed. The screen timeout is also very short while in lock mode so that is why your screen turns off quickly. When you push the home button it is trying to take you to the home screen but can't because of your pin#. What's happening to you sounds normal. This has happened to me as well, I just slow down and wait for the phone to catch up. Hope this helps.
