I just got the samsung vibrant... is there any way to load up the external SD card with movies/tv shows for playback on the vibrant?  I've tried to convert them to different formats and nothing seems to work.

im testing out a few different ways to convert the movies... it looks like .mp4 works, but i'll have to try it on a few different ones.  I'm using VLC Media Player to convert once i figure it out i'll post in here.

If you haven't already found out... you can use a program called Handbrake to convert .mpg/.avi/ect over to .mp4 for the vibrant..

also try winavi mp4 converter. pretty fast for me, converts a 20 min show in less than 2 minutes.

speed will be dependent on your system. it takes forever to convert/encode on my atom laptop, whereas, i can convert a full movie on my i7 desktop in just a few minutes. these are all probably front-end guis for ffmpeg and the likes.
