Facebook for Android v1.5 now available in the Android marketplace. New features include Chat featuring background mode (you can receive chat messages while using other applications) and push notifications (get notified sooner).

This app is a joke on my phone.  Buggy, slow, and hangs up 75% of the time when viewing photos.  Either my phone is bad, or there is a reason people like their apple products more than Samsung.  I've seen an unlocked Iphone use the facebook app far faster than what my phone does, and the unlocked phone isn't even able to get 3g.
