Being new at this I'm not sure if I'm posting at the right web site, let alone the right forum group, but had to pick somewhere to start. If I'm in the wrong place then please direct where I need to post Happy

I bought this phone recently and it already had been rooted and had Trigger ROM applied to it. I wanted to try the CyanogenMod that I've heard about. I bought Titanium backup and ROM Manager to prepare things.
I was successful in getting CyanogenMOD onto the phone and then noticed that I was missing most all of my applications. I did check the box in the process for applying Google Apps., but apparently that didn't work or I missed an important step in the process. Then in an attempt to get back to the Trigger ROM that I'd had previously I was able to get to the ClockWork Recovery menu, but wasn't certain how to restore Trigger and seems I've ended up all screwed. At one point in desperation to get back to a starting point I just did a wiping of all data as I just wanted to start fresh. At this stage all I can get the phone to is the Downloading mode, Samsung Vibrant boot screen or the 'Power reset or Unknown Upload Mode'. I have tried to restore it to 'stock' via ODIN 3, but while it does seem to get to 'Connected' status and to initially run some files the phone then reboots and goes to the Samsung Vibrant boot screen and there it stays.
I will mention that in using the ODIN 3 there were instructions elsewhere on this site that said that once the phone is connected in the ODIN 3 screen "you will see one of the ID com boxes in Odin turn yellow." I didn't see any of those boxes turn yellow, nor did any of those boxes have any info in them - all empty. I have the screen info from running the ODIN if that helps. Just want to get this back to where I can install CyanogenMOD. I'll be keeping an eye on this forum all day today (10.07.2011) Any help is very much appreciated!
